Ouch. I've filed this separately as bug #21329.
Do any of them provide additional output that could aid in debugging? If
so, I'd appreciate it if you could attach the full output of the run to that
bug. Perhaps if we figure out one of these problems, it will also fix the bug
in filter.sh (reported on pspp-dev) for which you were unable to get a
backtrace.
