     uses a gtksheet indirectly, through the var-sheet.  That's the

I suppose it's possible.  I'm aware that the gtksheet.c implementation
is somewhat dicey.  If it'll help you debugging, I can let you have a
patch for my reimplementation, which I beleive to me much improved at
least from the point of view of resource allocation/deallocation.  But
it's incomplete, and doesn't always repair its screen damage, and has
a few other things still to be done.
