As I recall, spss implements Cronbach's Alpha in the RELIABILITY command which is not currently supported in PSPP.
RELIABILITY could probably be implemented without too much difficulty, so if this is important to you, then feel free to submit a wishlist item at http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?group=pspp --- But there are no guarantees about when it'll get done.
