The GTK version could be the problem.
After my laptop on which I build PSPP for MSWindows died, I had to reinstall
the Mingw32 toolchain. So I have a new gtk version in it. But I have no clue
why it works on some installations and not on another installation. Might it
be that the problem is another program using .recently-used.xbel on your
computer too?
To make things worst: the newly build toolchain is very unpredictable. It
might work, but if I follow the same procedure again it might not work. And
I can't find a clue about this either.
BTW: I checked the trick below and it seems to work on an installation which
had no problems before. The generic ( Windows7, WindowsVista and WindowsXP)
of doing this is:
del %userprofile%\.recently-used.xbel
mkdir %userprofile%\.recently-used.xbel
Have fun
