Right, but the fix couples the file extension on the prefix again. I think this is the best implementation possible on MSWindows, but it doesn't solve the issue with other applications using .sav files. PSPP is not the only MSWindows program with this problem and I see no way to avoid that on MSWindows. So far I didn't get any complains about that so I think it is not a big deal a MSWindows.
