Rather than going to the trouble of manually converting every image (twice!) it would more maintainable and less effort if we automatically converted them. This way, only one image format needs to be checked into the repository and if an image ever needs to be edited or replaced we don't have to worry about each copy becoming inconsistent.
Fortunately, Gimp has a scripting feature which should make this possible. J' On Thu, Sep 27, 2012 at 11:51:30AM -0700, Selma Leathem wrote: Hello All, ? There is not that much left to do with the chapter except for inserting images a tad bit of tidying up. I've just succesfully inserted my first one, and anticipate that this task will be a bit more timely than I thought since I have a lot of images in the file. Each image file needs to exist in three different formats for texinfo?which I believe I can easily do with GIMP.... simple but time consuming. So realistically I would say Fri/Sat/Sun neighbourhood I'll be finished. ? Regards ?
