Thanks, that's good to know about the images. There was only about five problem 
images out of 125 so I'm quite lucky that 95% of them fit naturally.

Just in case you didn't know...  You don't actually have to change the images 
themselves.

In the texinfo file, you can specify the width of the image using 
@image{filename, 10cm}

This preserves the resolution of the image, but adjusts its final size.
