I took a look through the list of ideas. I agree that many of them are good ideas. Some are easier to implement than others, so I thought that at first I would concentrate on the ones that were easiest to implement. One that would be pretty easy is the suggestion to include an icon to describe the level of measurement. Can you provide icons for the three levels of measurement that SPSS supports (scale, ordinal, nomimal)? I agree that adding closing lines to the grid would be nice. I'll work on that. Regarding the idea for a "New" button on the toolbar that drops down a menu, I see that GTK+ can do this, but I wasn't able to actually make it work. (I find the GTK+ menu infrastructure very confusing.) I agree that adding a toolbar to the syntax editor is a good idea. I am not sure that it makes sense to put the output viewer into a tab given that the eventual goal would be to add SPSS-like features to the output viewer, which (as you say) make it more suited to a separate window. _______________________________________________ pspp-dev mailing list pspp-dev@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/pspp-dev
