Feature: entering data could create variable with type according to entered data type

Hi,

At this moment in PSPPIRE we can create numeric variables by entering 
number in Data view at column not assigned to existing variable – them 
new variable will be created and usually it contains entered value at 
relevant cell. However this does not work for strings/text: after 
entering string, variable usually will be created, but its type will be 
numeric anyway and cell will be empty.

Thus feature request would be to assign variable type according to 
entered data type (e.g. after entering text, create string type variable 
in datasheet).
