Summary: Replace Gimp with ImageMagick Project: PSPP Submitted by: michelboaventura Submitted on: Fri 17 Jul 2020 01:47:43 PM -03 Category: None Item Group: None Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: While building a Docker image to automatically compile pspp I've realize gimp brings a lot of dependencies and slow down the build quite a bit. So I've changed `build-aux/svg2png` to use ImageMagick's convert instead. I've tune it to give the same output as Gimp, and as can be seen on align-left-gimp.png and align-left-convert.png one really can't tell the difference. Besides reducing the number of dependencies, the time to run `make -f Smake icons` whent down from 80s to 6s! _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Fri 17 Jul 2020 01:47:43 PM -03 Name: gimp_to_imagemagick.patch Size: 2KiB By: michelboaventura <http://savannah.gnu.org/patch/download.php?file_id=49498> ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Fri 17 Jul 2020 01:47:43 PM -03 Name: align-left-convert.png Size: 636B By: michelboaventura <http://savannah.gnu.org/patch/download.php?file_id=49499> ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Fri 17 Jul 2020 01:47:43 PM -03 Name: align-left-gimp.png Size: 835B By: michelboaventura <http://savannah.gnu.org/patch/download.php?file_id=49500> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/patch/?9955> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
