I am using pspp (GNU PSPP) 0.7.9 with Ubuntu Server 12. Here are two last lines from my SPS file: SET LOCALE='windows-1251'. SAVE OUTFILE="300513_164029_50.sav".
SAV file still has encoding " ISO 8859-5 standard; ISO Cyrillic" (shown with command "enca -L ru 300513_164029_50.sav"). This SAV file can be opened in PSPP and SPSS, but in SPSS Cyrillic letters are corrupted. [email protected] is appropriate for this type of question, so I'm replying there. My name is Igor. In my project we use your app PSPP and I need to compile SAV files. During working with your app, I found that in Windows PSPP GUI application generate SAV file with encoding WINDOWS-1251. And in Ubuntu SAV file has encoding ISO 8859-5. How can I get encoding WINDOWS-1251 for SAV in Ubuntu? In my case I use two files (sps and ext). I'm not sure which version of PSPP Ubuntu is shipping, but with recent versions you can do this with: SET LOCALE='windows-1251'.
