Hello,

I have a Lacie Firewire hard drive that I would like to access under
Redhat 8.0. RedHat 8.0 automatically loads the appropriate modules for the drive and I
can mount it, but I can't write to it as a normal user.

My goal here would be to uses this drive as if it were a large floppy
because it may not always be attached to the system. My FSTAB entry
looks like this:

/dev/sdb2 /mnt/lacie ext3 noauto,dev,exec,user,suid,rw 0 0

Like I said, I can mount the drive with no problems, but I can't write
to it unless I am root.

TIA,

Bruce P. Morin
