This is a guess. I had KDE tell me that in Null when I was trying to have Evolution persist between sessions. Perhaps whichever desktop you are using is now incompatible with Xterm being persistent between sessions. In general, I think apps can be reopened in the next session if they are compatible with the desktop session manager. -- gerry _____ 0/0 /__
