Hello I'm having problem activating the dma on my DVD/CDROM
doing : hdparm -d 1 /dev/hda (HardDrive) works fine but doing : hdparm -d 1 /dev/hdc (DVD/CDROM) gives me /dev/hdc: setting using_dma to 1 (on) HDIO_SET_DMA failed: Operation not permitted using_dma = 0 (off) Can anybody please help?
