I solved my problem by booting from the RH8 install Disk, going through the
upgrade process, and adding the package manager there.

Actually, I like the RH8 Package Manager better than the version in 7.2.

I dunno - that redhat-config-packages was awfully cool looking.

I didn't actually try to do anything with it...but I can see that it's
very useful.
