Thanks for the advise, Unfortunately rpm -qpl doesn't show any libkrb5... #rpm -qpl /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS/openssh-server-3.4p1-2.i386.rpm| grep libkrb returns nothing just goes back to the prompt, the same with #rpm -qpl sybase-ase-12.5.0.1ESD-1.i386.rpm|grep libkrb
I believe problem is wider then just Sybase. All I can do at this point is boot as a root. If I try to run startx, ftp, telnet they return similar error messages pointing to different libraries. Please advise. Surely, it should be libkrb5.so.3 due the message error you obtain. Then type rpm -ql <your_new_sybase_rpm>.rpm and check the version that appears. If it is newer, you can try ln -s your_new_sysbase_libkrb5.so.y libkrb5.so.3. Maybe it can work. If not, check rpm -V <your_original_package_ssh_server.arch>.rpm and your documentation about Sysbase instalation.
