Hi List,

At long last, I'm putting up some links to my Master's project regarding
ProTools Accessibility. Essentially, I spent last year examining the scope of
accessibility of Protools 8.0.4 with Voiceover. I recorded a five piece rock
band from toronto and mixed five songs as part of the professional project that
went along with my thesis.

For the gear heads out there, everything was tracked on an SSL AWS 900 console
using the SSL preamps on everything. Drums were miked with 12 mics from Shure,
Rode, Sony and Schoeps. Guitars were miked up with mics from Shure, Josephson,
AKG, Blue and Sennheiser. Vocals were done on a Neumon TLM 100. The unfortunate
thing was that the band's singer got a hernia right at the beginning of
tracking. His surgery was scheduled for the middle of mixing, so there wasn't
time for him to get well enough to lay down harmonies and BGs. So, all the
vocals are largely one or two takes—good enough for the project to be handed in
on time. He is all better.

Mixing took place on a Tascam 24 channel control surface. Sadly, it did not
allow for manipulation of the plug-ins, so there was a lot of manipulation done
 with the keyboard.

The five songs were mastered at Silverbirch in Toronto, an excellent mastering
house if anyone's looking for one. ;)
