Hey folks. I found a cool quick way to select small bits of audio. One of the
commands for contracting and expanding your selection is command shift plus and
minus for the right edge, and option plus and minus for the left edge. But did
you know that these commands will work even if a selection is not present? For
example, if you want to crossfade 2 regions. Press tab to get to the region you
want the crossfade to end at. Then, tap command shift plus, and option shift
minus. You will have made a tiny selection across those 2 regions where you can
now cross fade. This is brilliant. Obviously, if you have a scrub wheel, you
won't need to do this, but if you don't, or if you're in my shoes and stupid
MAudio decided to detent theirs, this set of commands work great. You can even
be in a spot on a track, press command shift plus, and start making a selection
from where you are. Keep pressing it till you have the little smidgen of audio
you want selected. This sure beats typing in a length of 30 or so ticks to
crossfade or delete. Hope this helps.
