Hi Jake,
I tend to agree with you when it comes to vinyl so long as it's not actually 
intrusive to the musical experience, but when it comes to eliminating mouth 
noise from modern voiceover, the pop click plugin can be very helpful indeed 
and save quite a bit of time.
