pt10 question

hi i just got pt10 having a problem none of my devices are showing up
my friend came over and we plugged his guitar into the line in jack on
my iMac
protools isn't recognizing it and also not recognizing my m-audio key
studio 49i
i went to audio midi setup it shows everything there
i use to use mp9
