Hey Peter, You'll need to downgrade to Lion. The bug that's affecting PT in Mountain Lion has been reported to and acknowledged by Apple though, so hopefully you won't have to stay there indefinitely.
One problem you might have is that the Macs that are shipping now were manufactured post Lion, so there's a chance you might run into hardware not being supported. Dunno, someone else will have to chime in on that.
