If you can, that would be awesome! I'd really really appreciate it. I don't exactly get the whole concept of nudging anyway, like, why you'd wanna do it, so yeah, no rush, but if you could give us an mp3 demonstration that would be extremely! appreciated.

Chris.

Guess I need to do a small podcast on how to do this.

i honestly never got around to learning the nudging shortcuts. so i'd just cut it, type in the measure/time stamp i wanted to try and pasted it. if it didn't work, ctrl+z and try again with a different time stamp. On Jun 10, 2013, at 9:17 PM, "Chris Gilland" <[email protected]> wrote:

Which of corse, I'm not, so... yeah...

So then, once I have some audio selected, what do I then hit to nudge it forward and back in the session?

Chris.

IT's called the nude amount value as it granges the amount you nudge by. It doesn't actually change the zoom level which is a visual thing w and a feature that wouldn't benefit anyone on this list unless they are a high partial.

So did I at first. Upon closer research though, I figured out that the command you gave me was correct, but it's not called the zoom amount as I thought it was. It's actually referred to in the manual as the nudge value. I'm not totally sure why, but anyway... here's to both of us feeling a little dumb. LOL!

Ok, I have a confession. I was thinking you meant zooming in OS X.

Oh, ok. And just for people's reference, I did a bit more research, and turns out, what that adjusts isn't actually the zoom. Apparently, they call that the nudge value. Not totally sure why, but at any rate...

The slash just represents plus or minus.

OK, I'm confused, what does command option slash do? I recall having to do command option num pad plus to zoom in, and command option num pad minus to zoom out.

I've never heard of command option slash.

Does that somehow zoom? Furthermore, what's the difference in the commands for zooming vs. nudging?

Kind of a senior moment, and I'm not even that old, LOL! I can't for the life of me recall the command to zoom in and out. Isn't it command option num pad plus and minus? I get confused between the nudging commands and the zoom commands. If someone could refresh my memory on both, I'd appreciate it.
