Those of you who have read my posts (especially the lengthy ones) concerning
the bigger picture of Pro Tools accessibility and our relationship with Avid,
know that I take it all very seriously and, to be frank, I've had moments of
doubt on many occasions and felt like giving up. As I mentioned in my previous
message, I did come to the conclusion that it was time for me to step down my
involvement. I'm grateful for those who have replied both publicly and
privately to my post. I've had several exchanges and conversations with many
people over these last several days and I've given it some serious thought.
I've decided to make a commitment to continue building upon the relationships
I've developed with the people at Avid and help move the process along.
Admittedly, the timeframe has been painfully slow and, as I'm sure everyone can
relate, one sometimes feels like just giving up. I'm afraid I simply had a very
public episode of such despair. Rather than letting it get the best of me, I'm
determined to dust myself off and get back in the race.

Thanks to all for your continued support. I'm hopeful that we'll see some
results in the near future.

Slau
