I don't think anybody considers your questions stupid. One thing I must point out, however, is that some of your questions are too broad to answer. For example, you say that you downloaded a list of keyboard shortcuts and can't understand them. Yes, that makes perfect sense. Nobody should understand them unless they read the manual. By the way, right in that keyboard shortcut list is a shortcut that toggles the insertion point from following the playback cursor. Unless you read the manual, you wouldn't know that this is precisely the feature that toggles the behavior in your second question. Ramy, your signature says you're a music instructor. Take the advice that most instructors give their pupils: read the manual. This will empower you much more than watching a video. Videos are for sighted users. Forget them unless you're only using them to supplement the reading of a manual. Once you've begun to understand some of the concepts, your questions will become more specific and it'll be easier to answer specific questions.
