OK, now I understand what happened. The best option for you would be to import audio to track. Command-Shift-i will open the dialog. Navigate to the audio files you wish to import into the session. For each file, press Return. When you're finished, find and click the Done button toward the bottom of the window. Since the files are within the Audio Files folder of the session, you probably won't be prompted where you want the files to go. Normally, you'd get a dialog with the default folder being the Audio Files folder for the session. Pressing the Return key will select that folder by default. Again, you might not even be prompted in this case. Finally, you'll see a dialog asking whether you wish to import to a track or the Regions bin. Press the radio button marked "t" and hit Return.
The new tracks will appear with the audio you imported. Delete the old tracks.
