Hey.

Has anyone up here got any experience from a blind perspective with the Roland RP401R digital piano? If so, can you e-mail me off list? I'm getting one come the 1st, and have a few questions. It looks like it's gonna be quite accessible for the most part, but I do have a few questions.

If you wanna hear how the thing sounds, go to:

All the samples, piano, drums, base, strings, etc. are all from the internal onboard sounds. It's not really per sé just a digital piano, but it's not exactly a full fledged keyboard either. It's kind of in between in my opinion. It's got 305 sounds, plus 11 additional pianos, midi enabled, USB enabled, 8th inch stereo input jack, 2 stereo quarter inch earphone jacks, 3 pedals, onboard speakers, line out, the ability to connect a USB wifi dongle to connect to a wifi network then use the Smart piano IPad app from Roland, not sure the accessibility of that. It does have a recorder, but I dono if I'd call it a full sequencer, as I don't think you can multi-track. Although I have Xpand2 for that, so no biggy. It does have auto accompiniment rhythms, although again, I probably won't use them. So yeah... that's about it. It prices at $1899, but if I get it through the vender I'm locally using here in town, they got a promo going where I can get it for $1599.99. It looks real simple. It only has 14 buttons on the whole thing, including the power button and the volume up/down buttons.

So yeah, if anyone's gotten the pleasure to use one of these things, write me off list. I have a couple of quick questions.

Thanks.

Chris.
