Hi there,
Yes folks, i no i maybe say to much here, but i think actually i’m ready to
take the plunge and try recording something in Protools 11 at long last. There
now remains 2 questions of the newby variety, one that comes out of confution
and the other one a more practical question:
Let’s start with the confusion part. I listened to the fantastic ”Protools with
speech” tutorial and they mentioned hot spots, which are very nice but few.
They said that a good idea is to have a hot spot on the meters of every track,
or at least many tracks but since there are only 10 hot spots available and you
can’t make several voiceover activities one for each floating window in PT i
guess you have to reassign hot spots as the project goes along, am i right? How
do you guys usually handle hot spots in a project?
Next question is a short and sweet one, are there any good stock plugins for
electric bass that come with Pt11, and if not are there any you recommend? I
looked at the Sansamp plugin and there seemed to be both guitar and bass
settings there.
Once again thank you for bearing with me through all these newbie questions.
/Krister
