Hi, I have had to call Avid about the ilok issues when I upgraded to pro tools 11 and also once to help me download the latest version as the software updating application was not accessible using voiceover. I did not have to buy any support contract as when I talked to the people at the registration phone option and explained my issues being totally blind and not being able to select the updating option they gave me a free support code and they were very helpful over the phone. Getting the support person on your mac is very accessible and the app that you download will delete itself after they are finished with your system so you don't even need to do any cleaning. For something basic like this I would not buy a support plan but then again I guess that depends on what else you might need them to do later. Nick Gawronski

Good morning, as far as plug-ins are concerned, the stock plug-ins
Included with ProTools work very well with voiceover. Also many third-party
plug-ins are accessible in ProTools 11. As far as installation goes, you will
need sighted assistance when using the Ilok manager.

Hi folks,
OK, so now I got the Ilok and ready to install Protools trial later today. Was
just wondering how it is with he effects, will I be able to access them?
I read somewhere that there could be problems with that.
And also, will I need sighted assistance with activating Protools or how is it
with the Ilok system?
Many thanks!
Christian
