Hi guys a friend of mine is specking up a mac book pro for protools. he is going for an i 7 processor with 16 gig of ram.
a couple of small questions. i sujested to him to use an external drive, and not to use the main hard drive on the mac for recording. So he is asking if a 256 gig internal drive would be big enough if he was adding an external drive. I would have thought it would be, but thought i’d ask anyway. the other question is what type of external drive should he be running. . Is it better to for a u s b 3 external drive, or would thunderbolt be better. or a firewire drive.
