Hi Tim,

The main difference is that, in versions of 10, one must remove the AAX 
plug-ins and use the RTAS versions. When trying to use the newer AAX versions, 
the plug-ins were not accessible. A number of other things were improved in 
version 11 including access to AAX plug-ins. perhaps most important was the 
accessibility of the MIDI Event List. It's been a while so I don't even recall 
the other things right now.

I've never used VST plugs and I know there are wrappers out there but I'm not 
sure about the status of VST wrappers for AAX plug-ins, especially 64-bit.
