Hi tom, One of two things might be happening: 1. Make sure you have track and edit selections linked as well as the edit and timeline linked. this is under the Options menu. It sounds like you might not actually have the track selected and/or the edit selection is not actually linked to the timeline. 2. You might not have waveforms being displayed. Make sure you see the word waveform in the track view of the Edit window.
Check those things for now.
