steve, Check to make sure you have "Copy Files Automatically" checked in the Miscellaneous cluster of the Processing tab of the Preferences dialog. If you imported files, they may still be located on the drive from which you imported and the drive might not be write-enabled for the Pro Tools session. Also, make sure you only have one disk selected in the Disk Allocation window and that Round Robin allocation isn't checked. With all those things observed, you might want to do a "Save Copy In" and make sure you check the "copy all audio files" checkbox.
