Just the standard Antares Auto-Tune is amazing! I use it for precisely the same reason that you are.
And since PT let's you accessibly do automation, you could automate the plugin on the bits of audio on that track where things need just a little push. You'd not believe how well it does, provided, obviously, that you configure it properly. Oh, believe me, if you don't, it sounds nightmarish! I've turned a natural vocal into the Cher's Believe effect on the verses quite easily. Now granted, I love! how Cher used it on that song, but in the track I accidentally did it to, it sounded God aweful! My point is, if you know how to set it correctly, and for god sake, don't! apply it over the entire track globally, but just automate it *only!* lightly! gently! where it needs to be, then you actually can get a hell! of a great result. As for accessibility, I'll admit, Auto-Tune is a little bit pricy, if you get the standard plugin and not the EVO version, but, that said, I'm telling you! It's worth every penny! I have a track I'm working on where the vocals are slightly out of tune in spots. I think I read on here that Melodyne is not yet accessible so just curious what people are using?
