Hello all,
Still trying to figure out my delima with sorting tracks. Here is what I have
attempted to do this afternoon, and here is what happened just about 2 minutes
ago when I tried this. So I am working with the same audio tracks that I am
trying to import, I decided to just start by importing the drums, and I was
going to try to get those sorted in the order that I want to use them. Here is
what I did.
1. I created a click track in a new session, and set my tempo to the tempo of
the song. I also created a master fader before starting the import process.
2. I imported all the drum tracks, which consisted of 7 tracks.
3. I interacted with the track list table, and deselected all of the tracks
that I just imported.
4. I went to my kick track, selected it with vo space, did the mouse down
command, went to where I wanted to place the kick track, and did a mouse up.
The kick moved to where I wanted it to go.
5. I went and found the snare track, I selected that track, did a mouse down,
went to where I wanted to place the snare track, did the mouse up command, and
that time it did not work. So this is where I am now, one time it worked, for
the next track it didn’t work. Seems a little inconsistent for me. Can’t
figure out why it worked for one track but not for another. I thought maybe
starting with less tracks in the session would make this work, and then I would
import more tracks in after getting the drums sorted the way I like to see them
in a session. Doing the alternative way of doing this where you interact with
the track channel strip of the track where you want to move and then go down to
the track name and then do a mouse down on that, stop interacting with that
track and go to the track where I want to move that track to, interact with
that channel strip and go down to the track name and do a mouse up on that,
that doesn’t work for me at all. Really need help. Just seems very
inconsistent for me. Thanks for any help,
Brian
