ah yes. Brainworks make great stuff, now part of
Plugin Alliance, along with several other companies.
I love the SPL Transient Designer and the De-Esser is great too!

BX solo is a free plug-in from plug-in alliance,
it is a very nice widener. In fact I can't
recommend enough the plug-ins from plug-in
alliance. Recently have started using the SPL
ranger EQ, and the mag EQ! Wonderful and accessible

Further, their installer is absolutely
inaccessible. The stuff is visually pretty
dated and I'm sure it's all authored on the
Windows side of things. Still, at least they do
offer a free bundle as well as their very
affordable offerings. I'll probably check out a
few more of their plug-ins eventually.

parameters concern Melda's very versatile
modulation matrix. They have all kinds of
internalLFOs, envelope followers, step
sequencers and so on. Of course, you don't have
to use these. But the problem is these
parameters layout. The developer explained me
that he could not change it anymore for
backward compatibility reasons,so the
parameters come in an order I can only describe as a good idea at a time.

overwhelming how many parameters they manage to
pack into a plug-in. I think their basic
flanger has something like 90 parameters and
one of their synths has something like 400
parameters. I'm sure it's great stuff but it's
really quite cluttered. That said, I've only
taken a look at about 3 of their playg-ins.
Maybe the rest aren't quite as jammed.
