Ok, I picked up the X32 producer last Friday and after minimal time with it
over the weekend I would say the following:
I can definitely tell that after a learning curve someone with no vision
and an iPAD will be able to use this mixer almost completely. Without an
iPad it would be possible but much more difficult. The on screen menus of
the mixer are almost completely accessible while using the iPAD. Without
the iPad you would have to have a list of the entire menu structure (which
in some cases is small but in others, very extended) and count based on the
clicks of the rotary knob.
I also have not been able to get Pro Tools to recognize it as a control
surface yet. Not sure what is going on with that but I will have to spend
more time. Definitely a good purchase and I will post further updates if I
come across anything either particularly great for accessibility or bad for
it. I am also happy to answer any questions I can to someone who may be
considering this board.
