Good point. :)
Its always  good to state  what version of pt your using and what window your 
encountering the issue with, and what kind of a track your working on.

Jason heres another thing to try.
I always do this when I half to record my acoustic drums and  need a one button 
rec solution while on the drums.
Make a group out of the tracks you want to record and while in the groups 
window choose the "mix attribute" of Record.
There are 4 check boxes which forces all tracks in that group to go in to 
record when any of the groups members rec button is clicked.
REMEMBER that that group must be active for this to work! ;)
