Hey brian. Well that’s how I do it. I do most of my tuning using audio sweet. I just sellect the phraze I want, and then apply the auto tune over it. Some tomes auto tune does not always make the right note choice, so if this happens, i will play around with pitch correction on the phrase before applying the auto tune. Although there may be a better way to do this in auto tune it self, but not really sure how. A lot of people put autotune or waves tune over the insert, and use plugin automation to turn it on and off and adjust settings as needed. as yet i’ve not done this. As far as making it sound natural. well i can’t say i’ve found auto tune to bad. No it’s not perfect, but it works. But yes i’d much prefer to use waves tune, But i’m not sure we have that luxury.
