Hi all!

Firstly thanks to Slau and others who have pushed accessibility in Pro Tools
on the Mac side. It really is appreciated!

Thought I should introduce myself. My name is Phil Muir and I work
primarily as a mixing and mastering engineer/session musician. I would
describe myself as a Sonar 8.5.3 power user :-) I also do a bit of access
technology training and have from time to time made music technology
products accessible on the Windows side such as ToonTracks Superior Drummer
2. For more information on that, checkout:

I am now running a couple of mid 2012 13 and 15 inch Mac's here and have
updated my Pro Tools from 10 to 12.5 as really want to get a feel for what
is achievable in PT.

I have read with interest the short thread that Sean Cummins started about
us being in a brave new world. Shall have to check but just because
ToonTrack tell us they are not planning to make Superior Drummer 2
accessible on the Mac side, doesn't mean that it can't be done. Am planning
to purchase Keyboard Maestro and see just how far I can push access to
Superior Drummer 2. I am under no elusion that this will be easy. It won't
because as am sure you all know, Voiceover ether can see screen elements or
it can't and in the case of Superior Drummer 2, it can't so the only way we
will get this going is with some sighted help. Also would like to see if I
can make the Focusrite Saffire control panel accessible on the Mac side that
is assuming someone hasn't done that already. Already created a solution
for that on Windows with the Jaws screen reader and HotSpotClicker. Anyway,
shall close for now.

Regards, Phil Muir
