Hi, I have been looking at getting the focus interface that was talked
about in this message and from what I have read about it it sounds
great. Also, I remember the wonderful pro tools with speech tutorials
were recorded using one of those interfaces. Does that interface once
it is setup properly where real time is disabled work well with Pro
Tools 12 and how easy is it to get installed like the software? Nick

Acessible will be tricky as most third party control pannels for
interfaces aren't accessible. Apogee being the exception on mac that i
can think of (so long as you get the actual apogee versions and not
the Avid ones bundled with pro tools). That being said with Apogee you
will only get two channels for under $1000. Your best band for the
buck if you want to get into the higher end of the market pres and
converter wise is the Presonus 192 studio. The control pannel isn't
accessible but you can set up pro tools to control its mic pres and
etc Focusrite Clarett is another contender in teh higher end market.

Yeah that's kind of important, sorry. :)
If I can get one under $1000 I would be happy. :)

Hi all,
I am currently using the Edirol UA-25 2 channel audio interface which I
bought in 2008.
Now I'm thinking about upgrading to something with a few more inputs,
maybe 4 or 8, and maybe with a little better mic preamps.
Do you have any suggestions accessibilitywise?
Thanks in advance!
All the best!
Niklas
