My understanding is that it doesn't work with the Maestro software. When 
plugged in, the Apogee duet automatically launches the Maestro software. I 
think the Avid one has a proprietary application that also supposedly supports 
Windows. This was one of the things I was concerned about when I spoke with 
someone from Apogee at AES. He assured me, however, that they had no plans to 
support Windows. This Avid version, I believe, has a special situation that 
Avid got involved in concerning the software. Some folks at Avid were 
completely unaware of this Duet collaboration with Apogee. Strange scenario…
