I've been spending some time here and there going through the libraries within
Komplete Kontrol just to acquaint myself with the breadth of the offerings.
Aside from being overwhelmed, of course, one of my initial concerns was with
the automation parameters. At a certain point, I took a look at the available
parameters in the Plug-in Automation Enable dialog and was surprised to see
that the list contained almost twelve hundred parameters, most with the generic
name of "row 758," "row 389," "row 1106," etc. Apart from a few at the top that
seemed to pertain to the scale and arpeggiator, I didn't see much clear
identification. Well, upon a closer look, I've noticed that, depending on which
instrument and preset is loaded, those parameters do indeed change. I'm not
sure why it didn't appear this way before but, after loading an percussion
instrument, I was able to identify the pattern, feel, intensity, effects, etc.
in the parameters list. After having loaded one of the vintage organs,
parameters such as the draw bars, percussion, vibrato, rotor, etc. all
dynamically changed. To be clear, the parameters do not appear in the plug-in
window upon auto-enabling them. The only way to access those parameters is
either with the S-series controller or with a control surface. I haven't
attempted any automating of parameters yet but will see if I might have a
chance over the weekend. Otherwise, I'm on vacation after the weekend and won't
be around for a while. Anyway, just throwing that out there.
