Hi Joy and Sean,

Yes, the mouse pointer focus is sometimes quirky at best and intolerable at
worst. Apple still hasn’t gotten it exactly right in that respect. As always,
one has to be diligent about making sure things aren’t obscured by floating
windows, dialogs, etc. The other day I realized that there was a system dialog
that popped up unannounced and, of course, when bringing up the window Chooser
menu, it didn’t appear in the list so I wasn’t aware of it at first. Man,
sometimes you’ve gotta be a hawk, a blind hawk, to paint an ironic picture.
Another thing you can try is saving the session, quitting Pro Tools and
rebooting VoiceOver. I’ve found that this also helps when Pro Tools seems to
loose focus with track selections. I mentioned it in the recent MIDI Event List
mp3 thingy. Lastly, (and I’d do this even before necessarily restarting), it
often helps to assign one send, for example, or an output assignment in the
output window which will open the respective output/send windows. From there,
you can use clicks and modified clicks to apply to all or selected tracks. For
me, that method has never failed, not even once.

Hope that helps,
Slau
