Hi Chris, the kick & toms are made from "birch wood" and I used the slate triggers to "beef up" the punch. The metal 6.5 premier snare had a " sure sm 81 mic on top only", with a remo fiber skin 3 head on top and ambassador bottom head on it.. Talk soon Chuck
