Hi John, The Inspector mode does not work when another window is open and that was done on purpose. If the Inspector was on and a user started trying to navigate and type and use the qwerty keyboard while the Inspector was on, there would be a lot of confusion and chaos. Ultimately, of course, meters within a plug-in should be accessible and that's unfortunately not the case and, although Flo Tools does offer the option to quickly query the gain reduction meter without having to interact with the track, it's not designed to solve the problem of inaccessible meters. While control surface users can adjust compressor and limiter settings while monitoring the gain reduction in the Mix window, those using Flo Tools without a surface must do the rough math and set their compressors within the plug-in window. For example, if your compressor is set to a 2:1 ratio and you want 3 decibels of gain reduction but you're seeing 6 decibels of reduction, you'll need to either decrease the input or preferably raise the threshold by around 6 decibels. Hope that helps for now. Slau
