Since running Sierra, I'm no longer able to get clips from the clips list onto the timeline, using the methods in Slau's tutorial.
Having selected one or more clips, when I do a mouse-down, VO speaks 'Now in mix ...". and focus has indeed jumped to the mix window. On rare occasions when it has said 'mouse down on edit', when I then go to the tracklist table and do a mouse-up, it says 'mouse up on Apple', and there is no new track.
This is a total show-stopper for me as I constantly have to import files. Firstly, can anyone suggest what I might try, and secondly, is there any chance that FloTools might address this long-standing difficulty. I'm so tempted right now to go back to Sonar for certain tasks where this was a cinch ... but seriously, there has to be a reliable way to get files in. Even when I used to import them as new tracks, I found that they couldn't be edited normally if they weren't in the clips list, so what to do?
