Martin wrote: Hello SD2 users!

I found some stores still offering the DVD version of SD2.
Is this the recommended starting point regarding an accessible installation
etc?

Phil replied: that's a good starting point although once everything is
installed then you will probably need to get some help on the Mac with
authorising all of that in the product manager.

Martin wrote: When then buying additional SDX libraries for SD2...
Should I still try to get the DVD ones or could I use the Toontrack online
store.

Phil replied: you can get them from the Toontrack store or online although
if you do get them online then you may need to use the product manager to
get those files down and that's not very accessible on the Mac. Having said
that once you have those files downloaded then they use standard Mac
installers.

Martin wrote: Just keeping in mind that maybe software platforms have
changed.

Phil replied: I would imagine that you will still be able to get those SDX's
online. Anyway all SD2 content is compatible with SD3 so if at some point
SD3 becomes accessible then you will be able to use that SD2 content in SD3.

Martin wrote: Finally searching Phil's preset zip file for available SDX
libraries, is this the correct result?

To use Phil's "SL Allaire SDX preset": I have to buy the "New York Studios
Vol.2 SDX"?

To use Phil's "SL Avatar SDX preset": I have to buy the "New York Studios
Vol.3 SDX"?

To use Phil's "SL CVMKII SDX preset": I have to buy the "Custom and Vintage
SDX" and an upgrade to MK II or is MKII the current standard version?

Phil replied: MKII is the current version.

Martin continues: To use Phil's "SL HitFactrory SDX preset": I have to buy
the " New York Studios Vol.2 SDX"?

To use Phil's "SL MusicCity SDX preset": I have to buy the "Music City USA
SDX"?

Phil replied: with regard to the rest of the SDX's you have listed there,
correct.
