To understand Track Presets and how they work, you'll need to read the What's
New document. There's no getting around that. The preset toggle buttons in the
dialog are presets for which parameters you wish to include in the track preset
about to be saved. It's basically a way of defining which of the parameters you
want to have saved. Sometimes, you might want to have every single aspect saved
and sometimes you might only want the plug-in saved but not necessarily the
preset loaded into that plug-in. One of those presets might include everything
checked. Another preset might be nothing checked. Yet another preset might be
only one thing checked. Rather than you having to recreate that each time you
want to save a particular type of track preset, you can hit the desired preset
toggle and it will, for example, either check every single box or uncheck every
single box or check only the one box you pre-defined for that preset toggle. I
don't know how else to explain it. I guess the best thing is for you to
manually check or uncheck the parameters you want to save with a track preset
each time you save one. At a certain point, you'll realize that, instead of you
manually reinventing the wheel, you have a preset toggle that you've defined
that saves only those aspects of the track's parameters you want to save.
