I have my doubts as far as usability for
us concerned. It's hard enough to control a mouse cursor with hands. Feet
are much more difficult to control. Now one advantage would be that opticon
users could actually track the mouse cursor while moving it with the foot
controler. I always thought that might have some potential, strapping a
mouse onto a boot or something. So for the few of us who still have
opticons, it could open up a world of possibilities for things that are not
accessible at all, assuming there is enough color contrast on the display
for the opticon. Maybe one of these days, who knows?
