Hi Jed, 
I would think you would be fine with either option, being that you will be 
storing your recordings on an X ternal Drive. Heck, I just bought another USB 
flash drive the other day, and it was 32 gig for only 13 bucks, so I guess I’m 
one of those folks who is past feeling the need for a large hard drive or SSD. 
Having said that though, I do have a 1 TB thunderbolt Drive that I use for 
ProTools sessions.
